About Nuweiba - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
A much smaller resort, quiet, wide beaches with fine sand. An ideal place for relaxation for those who want to escape from stress.
It was assumed that this city marks the location of crossing the Red Sea in biblical times. Nuweiba is short Nuwayba'al Muzayyinah in Arabic, which means the open waters of Moses.
From a historical perspective, the area was inhabited by two different tribes of Bedouins: Tarabin north and Maizena, about 8 km (5 miles) south. Since the Six Day War when Israel captured the area, the eastern city of Nuweiba only 1.5 km (1 mile) south of Tarabeen, called Israeli Neviot. After the Israelis left, the city expanded Nuweiba port, a distance of 7 km (4 miles) south. This company was founded by the Arab world's marine bridges and developed transport ferries now running every day at Aqaba in Jordan.
Nuweiba Castle (or Castle Newibah) built on top of the town, built in 1893, was included in UNESCO World Heritage.
Nuweiba is divided into three main sections, and stretches along the beach. The three areas are: the port of Nuweiba, which has become quite busy these days, Nuweiba City, which has a bazaar and tourist shops, and that is the real Tarabin.
The resort enjoys a special location, natural beauty of the underwater and terrestrial world. It is surrounded by national parks and other natural and historic objectives that are worth visiting. If you are looking for a destination that combines luxury hotels with local charm and culture, Nuweiba should not miss in your list of ideal holiday destinations.
Along the Sinai coast, scuba diving is practiced, and Nuweiba is no exception. This city lies on either side of Wadi Watir delta about 57 miles north of Sharm el-Sheikh, and consists of fishing villages, Muzeina Tarabiin Bedouins Bedouin in the south and north and tourist villages. They are separated by a Turkish city in the eighteenth century. Apart from diving, also practiced, jeep safari and walking with camels. Coloured Canyons are nearby, and a little later, is the oasis of Ain el-Furtaga. If you like to see a beautiful landscape, make sure that you have chosen the right track between Nuweiba and Taba.
