El Quseir is an authentic destination located on the western coast of the Red Sea in eastern Egypt, approximately 138 km south of Hurghada and 130 km north of Marsa Alam. With a history spanning over 5,000 years, this fascinating city, known in antiquity as Tjau and later Myos Hormos, was an important trading port connecting the Nile Valley to the Red Sea via the famous Wadi Hammamat route.

Recommendations for travel El Quseir

Romanian citizens traveling to the Arab Republic of Egypt for tourist purposes need a passport and visa.
Entry into Egypt on the basis of a Romanian identity card is not permitted.
The travel document used (simple passport or temporary simple passport) must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.
Holders of diplomatic and service passports are exempt from the requirement to have an entry visa to Egypt.
A tourist visa can be obtained at the airport (the visa sticker costs 30 USD, payable on the spot) or at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Romania.
